We're writing to let you know about some updates to the Asana Privacy Statement, Asana Data Processing Addendum (DPA), Subscriber Terms, and Product-Specific Terms.

What's new?

Privacy Statement
We've updated the Asana Privacy Statement to include updated information about the data we collect and how we use it. We encourage you to read this updated Statement, but we've also set out a summary of the key changes below:
  1. AI features: We’ve included detailed information on the data processed if you choose to use our AI features and how this data may be used to improve the service we deliver to you, and provide usage billing.
  2. Data contributions: We’ve included more information about how we will use the data you provide to Asana, starting on September 16, 2026, to glean de-identified insights into how you use our products and features. Please see this Help Article which explains your choices around opting out of this use of your data and when these changes may be applicable to you depending on your Asana Plan.
  3. Other new features: We’ve also provided information on the data processed if you choose to use other optional features like Asana meeting recording.
DPA, Subscriber Terms, and Product-Specific Terms
We’ve updated our terms, effective September 16, 2026, to include more information about how we use the data you provide to us, our AI features (including agentic AI), and the data processing involved.

If you have negotiated separate terms with Asana, those take precedence.

As our product changes to incorporate new features, we remain committed to clearly communicating any new data processing changes to inform you of your choices as our customer.
